Our art collecting and art advisory service do not begin and end at the point of acquisition. Based on our long-standing experience, we are able to assist in every aspect of acquiring and owning art including archiving, shipping, installation and acting as a liaison and advocate on behalf of our clients with our preferred best-in-class vendors. In addition, Darrow Contemporary is able to assist with long-term estate, tax, and philanthropic planning as it relates to our clients collections as well as advising on de-acquisitioning works . Art is a unique asset class that requires specialized knowledge as to care, conservation, and long term value.
Darrow Contemporary has years of experience negotiating with the world’s top auction houses. Unlike auction house specialists—who represent the interests of the auction houses they work for—we are retained by our clients and work solely on their behalf in order to offer truly offer unbiased advice and guidance. We are available to effectively negotiate complex agreements relating to both the buy and sell sides to ensure our clients receive the best possible deal terms.

Meredith Darrow
Founder and Owner
Meredith Darrow is one of the most highly regarded and sought after art advisors working today. She has over 20 years of experience working with collectors, artists, galleries and institutions and over that time has been at the forefront of the increasingly complex and valued contemporary art market.
Meredith has worked with a number of globally recognized collections and is a known entity in the field as a highly influential taste-maker and market shaper. In addition, Meredith works with a number of new and established private collectors of contemporary art to develop and refine world class collections of art that speak to their owners’ tastes and lifestyles. Her deep connections in the realm of contemporary art allow her privileged access to new and secondary market works as well as market intelligence.
Meredith graduated from Columbia University with a Fine Arts Degree. Prior to founding Darrow Contemporary in 2009, Meredith held a number of key roles at influential New York galleries, including senior sales positions at Friedrich Petzel Gallery and Bortolami Gallery.
Grace Walters
Sales Director
Grace Walters works closely with Darrow Contemporary’s clients, along with our network of gallery and industry contacts, to build and develop important collections of contemporary art.
Grace graduated from Dartmouth College with a BA in Art History. Prior to joining Darrow Contemporary in 2022, Grace worked at Matthew Marks Gallery for over six years, holding a variety of positions in both the New York and Los Angeles galleries.
